The Washington County Historical Society will hold its final quarterly meeting of 2015, on Saturday, November 21, at 6pm, in the basement of the Stevens Museum. Our featured guest speaker, Perry Hammock, Executive Director of the Indiana Bicentennial Commission, compensates for his unexpected absence from the Old Settlers’ Dinner. He will inform everyone present on the state’s plans for next year’s exciting celebration to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary, of Indiana’s admittance to the Union, as the 19th state.
The John Hay center will announce the volunteers of the year, at this meeting, and snacks and drinks will be served. The event is free to the public and anyone interested in the activities of the Indiana Bicentennial Celebration is welcome to attend.
